Mother Mary and Divine Mercy

On October 31st, OOM has invited Fr. Hugh Gillespie to talk about "Mary, Queen and Mother of Mercy". He will go into deep worship with Adoration and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament. Fr. Gillespie himself will lead the prayers later on. They say he has the gift when he preaches to make everyone fall in love with our Blessed Mother.

To know more about our guest speaker, Fr. Gillespie is renowned mainly for propagating St Louis de Montfort's Total Consecration to Mary.

ALIVE! By the Blood of Christ

It was sad we missed this! We wanted to meet Bro. Stanley and hear his testimony and the great power of our Divine God and His Mercy. It was a rainy day and both JC and I had cold and cough. Noel had to take care of his emergency at his client's.

I am sure the Lord will make a way for us in the future to encounter His servant.

GOD BLESS EVERYONE!

New Calling

After such discernment, prayer and novenas, my husband, JC and I finally attended the Couples For Christ’s Christian Life Seminar on September 24, 3rd Friday from the day it started on Sept. 11. I’ve been feeling restless at the Choir that I wanted to do more, give more and be more. And I don’t think I can’t keep choking the Spirit for a long time. I needed to do something to get it right with God and His gifts. It dawned on me: whether I use them or waste them and lose them. I’ve talked to Noel and he completely understood. As a family, we decided together and attended our first day of CLP. It went very well, esp hearing from Noel that he knew right away that this would provide us better spiritual growth and service to God. JC would always be with the rest of the kids during the talks, just too many kids, and actually called Kids For Christ or KFC. We are happy for our little one, too. We had our Baptism of the Holy Spirit last Friday, October 16, and had a chance to stay longer, eat and chit-chat with other members. I was surprised that Noel is blending very well. Haha. He must have more friends that I have there. I see people persistently coming to him talking about choir and practice already.

We are having fun. As I mentioned in one of my emails to a friend, "CFC is so full of warmth and love..you literally could smell the breath of kindness in the air."

It truly is. Home-stretched already and we’ll be done in two more Fridays. We pray and trust that we are following along God’s purpose and path for us, and that we should be worthy of this new calling and direction for His greater honor and glory!

PS: I’ll post some pictures hopefully during the ‘dedication’ night.

OOM Choir & Barangay Sang Birhen I

OOM Choir was invited to sing during the celebration of the 20th anniversary of Barangay Sang Birhen. It was held on October 3, 2009 at the Blue Army Shrine or Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima, 674 Mountainview Road, Washington, NJ from 9:30 AM-3:00PM. It was a great and festive day that turned a rainy day into such a beautiful sunny day. We enjoyed the Rosary, Mass, devotees, food, sun and nature. One thing just turned unexpectedly bad was that JC got really hurt. He had his first share of cuts and scrapes at his nose and forehead. We were terribly shocked but managed to remain calm. I am sure he cried really hard. His godmother said four priests prayed him over right away. As of writing this, it took only a week and all that’s left is a red mark, no more blood and bruises. My husband said, “it was Mama Mary’s blessing, Her kissmark to JC.” Amen to that!

I asked God for strength that I might achieve.
I was made weak that I might learn humbly to obey.

I asked God for health that I might do greater things.
I was given infirmity that I might do better things.

I asked for riches that I might be happy.
I was given poverty that I might be wise.

I asked for power that I might have the praise of men.
I was given weakness that I might feel the need of God.

I asked for all things that I might enjoy life.
I was given life that I might enjoy all things.

I got nothing that I asked for - But everything I had hoped for....
Almost despite myself, my unspoken prayers were answered
I am among all men most richly blessed.
